HERE ARE OUR TOP TIPS FOR COLOURING HAIR AT HOME;
Ensure your hair is in the best condition it can be before colouring your hair. Use a hair treatment for a few days before you plan to colour your hair. Continue to use a treatment 1 x per week.PREP YOUR PRODUCTS
Make sure you choose the right colour dye for your hair and your desired results. Ensure you have all the necessary products and tools,A mixing bowl (Plastic or glass)
A hair dye brush
A comb to separate the hair.
Be sure you have read the instructions thoroughly before colouring, so you are fully confident in how to mix and apply the colour.
MIX THE DYES
in a plastic or glass bowl, Don't use a metal one as this will oxidize the dye and change it's colour.CHANGE YOUR SHAMPOO
Swap to a sulphate-free shampoo. This will be kinder to your hair and help prolong your colour. To slow your colour from fading, minimise the frequency of washing and use cooler water as hot water can remove the essential oils from your hair.MAINTAIN YOUR COLOUR
Keep your colour vibrant by using a spray-in-and-leave treatment. Use before blow-drying your hair to seal the hair cuticles, and protect your hair from heated appliances.SHINE BRIGHT
Coloured hair can tend to lack shine, especially if blonde. Give a spritz of shine illuminating spray over dry hair to leave hair with a mirror-like shine.HAVE ENOUGH
There would be nothing more annoying than running out of your Avon hair dye halfway through. If you are doing an all-over job, Then we would advise to get two. (You could always use one as a spare)
If your hair is shoulder length or beyond to ensure full coverage, use Three boxes of the same dye.
